Today, my Office filed an emergency motion to stop construction of a mass immigration detention facility in Washington County, Maryland.
The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) are moving forward with a contract to convert a warehouse near Williamsport, Maryland even though our lawsuit challenging the project is already in court.
We are asking the court to immediately pause construction while the case is decided.
